Refund & Cancellation Policy

Thank you for choosing to support the animals under the care of Healing Saathi.

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the terms applicable to one-time donations, recurring donations and other eligible contributions made through our website or authorised payment channels.

1. Nature of Donations

All contributions made to Healing Saathi are voluntary and are intended to support animal welfare activities, including rescue, treatment, rehabilitation, medical care, food, shelter, permanent care and other welfare requirements.

Donations may be made towards a specific campaign, initiative or general animal welfare activities, depending on the purpose selected at the time of contribution.

2. No Refund Policy – General Rule

As a general policy, donations are non-refundable. Once a donation has been successfully processed, it cannot normally be cancelled or reversed, as the funds may have already been allocated or utilised towards animal care and welfare activities.

3. Exceptions – When a Refund May Be Considered

A refund may be considered only in limited circumstances, including:

The donation amount was deducted multiple times for the same transaction due to a technical or payment processing error.
An incorrect amount was charged due to a clear technical glitch, system malfunction or payment processing error.
A payment was successfully processed after the transaction was displayed as failed, resulting in an additional payment being made for the same purpose.

Any refund request will be reviewed based on available transaction records, payment gateway information and other relevant details. Approval of a refund request shall be subject to verification and the applicable circumstances of the transaction.

4. Timeframe to Raise a Refund Request

Any request for a refund must be raised within 7 days from the date of the transaction.

Requests received after this period may generally not be eligible for review, except in exceptional circumstances where Healing Saathi decides that further verification is appropriate.

Where applicable, you may also attach screenshots of bank, SMS or email confirmations showing the duplicate or erroneous charge.

6. Processing of Approved Refunds

If a refund request is approved, the refund will generally be processed to the original mode of payment used for the transaction, wherever technically possible.

Depending on the payment method, bank or payment provider, it may take approximately 7–14 working days for the refunded amount to reflect in your account.

7. Cancellation of Donations

Once a one-time donation has been successfully processed, it cannot normally be cancelled.

Since donations are intended to support ongoing animal welfare activities, funds may be allocated towards rescue, treatment, rehabilitation, food, shelter, medical care and other requirements shortly after they are received.

8. Monthly & Recurring Donations

Healing Saathi may offer the option to make recurring monthly donations through a subscription mandate facilitated by our authorised payment partner, such as Razorpay.

By opting for a recurring donation, you acknowledge and agree to the applicable subscription and payment terms presented during the payment process.

Razorpay or the relevant payment provider may initiate a small verification charge, typically between ₹1–₹5, where required to activate or verify the payment mandate.
The first full donation amount will be charged according to the billing details shown during the subscription process.
Subsequent recurring donations may be automatically processed on the applicable billing date.
The timing of debits, mandate processing and payment method rules may be governed by the payment gateway, bank or payment provider.

To stop future recurring donations, a cancellation request should be submitted at least 7 days before the next scheduled debit.

Once a scheduled recurring donation has already been successfully processed, that contribution cannot normally be cancelled or reversed, except where it qualifies under the refund exceptions mentioned in this policy.

9. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks

If a donor raises a payment dispute or chargeback through their bank, card provider, UPI provider or payment gateway, Healing Saathi may share relevant transaction records and communication details with the respective payment provider or financial institution for the purpose of reviewing and resolving the dispute.
