Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 1 January 2022

Thank you for choosing to support the animals at Healing Saathi (“we”, “us”, “our”). Healing Saathi is a registered animal welfare organisation dedicated to the rescue, treatment, rehabilitation, and lifelong care of injured, abandoned, and differently-abled animals. All donations made through our website directly support our organisation and the animals under our care.

1. Nature of Donations

All contributions made on the Healing Saathi website are voluntary donations towards the rescue, medical treatment, rehabilitation, feeding, and permanent care of animals at our sanctuary. Since every donation is immediately allocated for ongoing welfare activities, donations are treated as final contributions to a charitable cause.

2. No Refund Policy (General Rule)

As a general policy, donations are non-refundable. Once a donation is successfully processed, we are unable to cancel it or issue a refund because the funds may have already been allocated for animal welfare work.

3. Exceptions – When a Refund May Be Considered

A refund may be considered only in the following limited cases:

• The donation was charged more than once due to a technical error.
• A clear payment glitch occurred (e.g., incorrect amount caused by system malfunction), and the additional amount has not been utilised.
• A payment was successfully deducted after being shown as “failed,” and the donor made another payment for the same cause.

All refunds are processed only after verification of transaction logs and confirmation that the funds have not been utilised. Approval of refunds remains solely at the discretion of Healing Saathi.

4. Timeframe to Raise a Refund Request

Refund requests must be raised within 7 days from the date of the transaction. Requests raised after 7 days may not be eligible for review unless there are exceptional circumstances.

5. How to Request a Refund

• Full Name
• Contact Number
• Donation Amount & Date
• Payment Reference / Transaction ID
• Reason for refund request
• Screenshots of bank/SMS/email confirmations (if applicable)

6. Processing of Approved Refunds

If the refund request is approved:

• The refund will be issued to the original mode of payment (bank/card/UPI/wallet).
• Refunds may take 7–14 working days, depending on the bank or payment provider.

7. Cancellations

Donations are one-time or recurring contributions intended for welfare activities, therefore:

• Cancellations are not applicable after a donation is processed.
• For monthly/recurring donations, donors may request cancellation of future debits by contacting us at least 7 days before the next scheduled deduction.

8. Disputes and Chargebacks

If a donor raises a dispute or chargeback with their bank or payment provider, we may submit transaction logs and communication records to help resolve the matter.
